Adrienne Luthi, 85, Hitterdal, MN, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Essentia Health-Oak Crossing, Detroit Lakes, MN.
Adrienne Veloris Eide was born to Emil and Olga (Melbye) Eide on May 9, 1936, in Hitterdal, MN, and she was baptized at Salem Lutheran where she was a lifetime member. She graduated from Hitterdal High School in 1954 and attended Moorhead State University. She worked at Hawley Creamery and Moe Implement in Hitterdal as a bookkeeper for several years before becoming the secretary for Salem Lutheran Church in Hitterdal. Adrienne was a dedicated employee of the church for 45 years until her retirement. She also enjoyed working seasonally for Carl’s Lefse in Hawley for many years.
Adrienne married Vergil Luthi on August 8, 1994, at Salem Lutheran Church and they made their home in Hitterdal. Adrienne and Vergil enjoyed 37 years of shared life together. After retirement they enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson, MO. Adrienne was a dedicated church member her entire life, faithfully serving by teaching Sunday school, chaperoning youth church trips and doing anything else that was asked of her. Adrienne always maintained a positive attitude about others, only saw the good in other people, and truly believed in angels.
Adrienne is survived by her loving husband, Vergil, Hitterdal; step-daughters, Teresa (Bert) McDonough, Moorhead and Tanya Andres (Dan Torkelson), Dilworth; step-grandchildren, Landon McDonough, Briar Andres and Hailey Andres; nieces Virginia (Russ) Erickson, Gloria (Steve) Boden, and Pat Anderson (wife of Jerain). She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Wallace Oscar, Viola, Opal, and Wallace J. Eide, Evelyn Anderson and Verlayne Swenson; and nephew, Jerain Anderson.
