Agnes B. Johnson

Agnes Barbara Klein was born on January 2, 1924, in Esmond, North Dakota to Andrew and Julia Gummeringer Klein. She grew up in Esmond, ND. Agnes married Clarence E. Johnson on December 26, 1950 in Maddock, North Dakota, together they lived on a farm in rural East Grand Forks, MN for nearly 40 years. They later moved to Fischer, MN. Shortly after moving to Fischer, Clarence was killed in an automobile accident. Agnes then moved to Maddock, ND and later Devils Lake, ND. In February 2007, Agnes moved to Hawley, where she has enjoyed life since. She is survived by her niece Corina Gary Kuck and her great-niece, Kari Darwin Haugtvedt and children, Tyler & Tanner , all of Hawley, MN, Lynda Michael Schmaltz & family, Bonnie Olson and family, Roxanne Bruce Jorgenson & family, Charlotte David Peterson & family; her nephews, Dwight Pat Slotto, Keith Victoria Slotto, Tyronne Nancy Johnson & family, Cullen Doreen Johnson & family, Gerald Klein & Brian Klein; great-nieces, Alison Brandon Hendrickson & family, Alissa Josh Smith & Staci Brian Willis & family; great-nephews, Brent Tina Slotto & Shawn Sarah Kuck & family; brothers-in-law, Leonard Johnson & Arthur Johnson; also her special friends, Lucky & Maggie Mae. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Jake and four sisters, Margaret, Clara, Elizabeth and Mary.
