Agnes K. Bierdeman

Agnes Katherine Jones Bierdeman, 88, Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND, died on December 28, 2004 in the nursing home under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.Agnes, the youngest daughter of Ancil Hampton Jones and Emma Ann Davies Jones, was born November 21, 1916 in Carrington, ND, Foster County.She was raised and educated in the Vashti and Sykeston, ND area and graduated from 8th grade. She worked on the family farm until her marriage to Albert Bierdeman, August 2, 1949 in Jamestown, ND. They lived in both Minnesota and Fargo, ND for a short time until moving to Minot, ND in 1950. Agnes was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, reading, singing and caring for her children. Her favorite hobby was researching family history and she was a long time member of the Mouse River Loop Genealogical Society. She also spent many years as a baby-sitter for a number of children including one child with special needs. While in Minot, she was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church including Martha Circle. After Albert's death, March 30, 1996, Agnes lived alone until moving to Fargo in August of 1997. While in Fargo, she lived with her daughter until her recent move to Villa Maria on December 1, 2004. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Moorhead.Agnes is survived by 2 of her 13 siblings, Annie Jones Watkins of Round Rock, Texas 95 and Mary Jones Lowrie of Sedro Wooley, Washington 92. In addition to her siblings, she is survived by 3 children, Jack Bierdeman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Dean Bierdeman of El Cajon, California; Betty Bierdeman of Fargo; 3 grandchildren, Michael Bierdeman, El Cajon, California; Jennifer Bierdeman Probst, Fayette, Indiana; Anna Bierdeman Rojas, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and 5 great grandchildren; Cody, Kalea, Josiah, Elias, and Caleb.Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
