Agnes L. Olson of Moorhead, formerly of Rollag passed away June 20, 2009 at Golden Living Center surrounded by her family. Agnes L. Gilbertson was born July 23, 1912 in Eastedge ND to Theodore & Bessie Haugrud Gilbertson. As a young child she moved to Pelican Rapids, Mn where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Pelican Rapids High School.Agnes was united in marriage with Norman Olson on February 28, 1947. Following their marriage they made their home and farmed near Rollag. Norman passed away in 1973. Agnes continued to live on the farm until the fall of 2005 when she moved to Moorhead.Agnes was active in the Rollag Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school, participated in WELCA, the Esther Circle, the quilters and newsletter group.Agnes was well known for her talents in crocheting doilies and afghans, as well she had crocheted hundreds of wall hanging "names" over the years, with one going as far as Rollag, Norway. She enjoyed spending time with family, doing crossword puzzles, watching the Minnesota Twins and playing games.She is survived by three daughters, Linda Olson and Ruth Jerry Grant of Moorhead, and Connie Donald Erdmann of Rollag, and one sister Bella Leo Gall of Moorhead. Four grandchildren, Jennifer Jose Gonzalez Erdmann, Stacy Jeremiah Gerdes, Julie Jeff LeRoux, and Jeremy Grant. Five great-grandchildren Marisa, Wisper, Josie, Derian & Dustin.She is preceded in death by her husband Norman, her parents, two brothers, Knute and Erwin and two sisters, Selma and Clara.
