Albert H. Wagner, 93, Detroit Lakes, MN, died on Saturday, December 25, 2010, in Oak Crossing, Detroit Lakes, MN.Albert H. Wagner was born on April 23, 1917, in Barnesville, MN, to Charles and Lena Getz Wagner. He grew up and attended school in Barnesville and then farmed there with his dad. Albert married Wilma Jordan on March 1, 1940, in Detroit Lakes, MN. They lived in Arizona for three years and moved to Barnesville in 1943, where they farmed until 1960 when they moved to Lake Park, MN, where they continued farming. In 1965 they moved to Fertile, MN, where they owned and operated the Fertile Coast to Coast store. They retired in 1979 and moved to Big Cormorant Lake where they lived for ten years before moving to Detroit Lakes in 1989. For over twenty years they were fortunate enough to spend their winters in Mesa, AZ. Wilma died on August 24, 2009, and Albert moved to the Lincoln Park Apartments in Detroit Lakes. Albert loved hunting and fishing, going to lutefisk dinners, spending time with his family and friends, and gardening. His garden was the envy of the neighborhood.Albert is survived by two sons, Mark Barbara, Lake Park, MN, and Jim Nancy, Fertile, MN; one daughter, Jacolyn "Jackie" Erickson, Fertile, MN; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ellen Jordan, Las Vegas, NV.
