Alice C. Folden

Alice C. Folden, 87, died April 6, 2011, at Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN.Alice Clary was born February 29, 1924 in Moorhead, MN to Ward and Mary Lorentz Clary where she grew up and attended school.On November 12, 1941 Alice married Haakon Folden. They lived in the FM area then moved their family to Hitterdal, MN where Alice was a fulltime homemaker and mother. Alice loved life and had a kind word and smile for everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making casino trips, and watching the Price is Right. Alice is survived by her twelve children; Grace Lipton of Everett, WA, Mary Ann Ron Juve of Clearbrook, MN, Sigard Anita Folden of Fargo, ND, Margaret Bob Sullivan of Fargo, ND, Joyce Folden of Jamestown, ND, Larry Peggy Folden of Cushing, OK, Betty Monson of Fargo, ND, Jimmy Folden of Moorhead, MN, Richard Folden of Stillwater, MN, Marilyn Dave Walstrom of Moorhead, MN, David Folden of Moorhead, MN, and Janis Darwin Paler of Fergus Falls, MN. Also surviving Alice are her 27 grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren.She was greeted in heaven by her husband Haakon, her mother and father Mary and Ward, her three brothers; George, David, and Clarence, one grandson, Scott and two sons-in-law, Leland Juve and Conrad Lipton. The family of Alice would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley and the caregivers at Golden Living Center for the wonderful care provided to her. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
