Alice S. Johnson

Alice S. Johnson, 93, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Farmstead Living in Moorhead. Alice was born April 2, 1930, in Ada, MN, to Emmett and Maria Anna (Wilkens) Sipe. She grew up and attended school in Halstad, MN, graduating from high school in 1948. Alice married Kenneth A. Johnson on August 17, 1950. Together they made their home in Halstad and later in Grafton, ND, before settling in Moorhead. Over the years, Alice worked as a bookkeeper and for 15 years prior to retiring she enjoyed working in the Clay County Treasures Office. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and was known a faithful greeting card sender. She loved spending time outdoors, at the lake, and especially with family. She will be dearly missed.

Alice is survived by her children, Mary (Jerome) Miller of Fargo, ND, Kevin (Robin) Johnson of Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Samantha Miller, Kasandra (John) Shipley, Tyler (Quinn) Johnson, Zachary (Tarah) Johnson, and Linzee Johnson; great-grandchildren, Sloane, Cooper, Griffin and Brooks Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; and siblings, John, Albert, Louis, Raymond, Orville, Clarence, Allen, Anthony, George, Florence, Orphia, Irene and Lucille.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 13, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., with funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
