Allan R. Wyffels, 59, of Moorhead, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Allan was born in Marshall, MN, on March 23, 1961, to Lawrence (Bud) and Maxine (Lozinski) Wyffels. He grew up and attended school in Minneota, MN. Al was an amazing football player and led his team. He was very active in FFA and 4-H. Following high school, Al continued his education at Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN, and later continued his education at SMSU in Marshall, MN where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Agri-Business and Finance, graduating with high honors. On September 22, 1987, Al married Kristie Marquardt-Bohn. Together they made their home in Marshall, MN where they raised their family. Over the years, Al managed a hog farm for BCH Enterprises near Clarkfield, MN, where he enjoyed working for 28 years. Al also enjoyed the daycare families that he and Kristie nurtured together. In 2016, he and Kristie moved to Moorhead and most recently, he worked for Remington Seed in Mapleton, ND. Al enjoyed being in the outdoors, at the lake, hunting with his son Ryan and nephews, being a member of Pheasants Forever, traveling, working on his rental properties and most of all spending time with family. He was a talented man, and enjoyed taking things apart, fixing them for everyone and being a mentor for others to learn more skills. He was a Christian man who lived out his faith. Helping others gave him great joy.
Al is survived by his wife, Kristie; children, Sarah (Lee) Swanson of Fargo, Ryan (Karen) Bohn of Fargo, Rhea Wahl of Moorhead; grandchildren, Amelia and Dominic; mother, Maxine Wyffels; brother, Kevin (Tammy) Wyffels; sisters, Laure (Bruce) Verdoes, Kathie (Kenton) Sonnenburg. He was loved and respected by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence, infant brothers Joseph and Lawrence and sister Maxine, nephews, Nicholas Verdoes and Jacob Wyffels, and great nephew, Everett Winson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. A prayer service with a time for sharing will be held at 2:00 p.m., and funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m., all at Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church 2901 20th St South, Moorhead, MN.
Due to COVID restrictions the family is not able to provide a luncheon following services.
