Almae Ernestine Larson

Almae Ernestine (Anderson) Larson passed away in Northern Nevada Medical Center in Reno, NV, on October 22,2021.  Almae was born Dec. 20, 1943, to Ernest and Alma Anderson from Hallock, MN. She was the 4th of five children, with sister Donna, and brothers Charles, LaMar, and David Anderson. Almae attended school in Hallock, MN, through high school.

She married Oliven John Larson in 1961. John passed away in Feb 2011.

Almae majored in Art at Moorhead State University and the University of Minnesota, receiving her MFA from the University of MN.  She taught photography at the Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester, MN.

Almae and John had three children, David John Larson, Derek (Julia) Larson and Julie (Bruce) Jackson.  Almae and John were also blessed to have 8 grandchildren: Brandon, Shilo, Marissa, Kylee, Luke, Chelsea, Christina, and Erica.

Almae is survived by her children; grandchildren; sister, Donna Teien; and brother, David Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and brothers LaMar and Charles Anderson.

Almae will be remembered as a very creative Artist and photographer.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND, on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1:00 P.M.
