Alpha L. Goranson

Alpha L. Goranson, 82, of Lake Park, Minnesota, died Monday, December 20, 2004, at her home.Alpha L. Goranson was born January 11, 1922 to Hans and Thea Bakke. She attended rural country school north of Lake Park until the 8th grade. During World War II she worked for the New Brighton Defense Plant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was married to Alf Goranson in 1948. They made their home at several farms south of Hawley and Lake Park, Minnesota. Alpha retired in 1984 and pursued a life long passion of sewing by starting a small business of altering clothes. At the age of 80, she turned a life long dream of completing a high school equivalency course.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry & Hjalmer, and two sisters, Minnie and Ella.She is survived by her son, Larry Goranson, Lake Park, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
