Alvina L. Skarvold

Alvina was born November 27, 1918 to Oscar and Selma Rostad Hoel in Colfax, ND. She grew up in the Colfax and Christine, ND area. She was confirmed on June 18, 1933 at the South Pleasant Lutheran Church and attended school at the Pleasant Consolidated school through the 10th grade in rural Christine, ND. On September 25, 1937 she married Arnold Skarvold in Moorhead, MN. Alvina loved making quilts and rugs, playing cards, family gatherings, having friends over for coffee.She is survived by two daughters Sharon Earl Williams of Fargo, ND and Jeanette William Needham of Tustin, CA; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Jerome Colvin of Fargo, ND, Shari Needham of Tustin, CA, Janna Needham of Chula Vista, CA; 4 great-grandchildren Lynda Colvin and Joseph Heather Colvin of Fargo, ND, Alicia Needham of Tustin, CA and Makayla Needham of Chula Vista, CA; 1 brother Andy Gen Hoel of Fargo, ND ; and 2 sisters Janet Dave Balzer of Colorado Springs, CO, and Shirley Rod Searls of Fargo, ND.Alvina was preceded in death by parents; husband; 1 sister Marian Blilie; and 2 brothers Bernell and Donald Hoel.
