Amanda Lea Perkins

Amanda Lea Perkins, 31, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in her home due to heart complications.

Amanda was born on February 18, 1988, in Fargo, ND, to Dwight and Marlene (Vetter) Perkins. Amanda attended D-G-F High School and graduated in 2006. She also attended MSUM, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work, graduating in 2016.

Amanda enjoyed painting, antiquing, collecting tea cups, watching her stories, and napping. She was an avid book reader and loved Taylor Swift. If you could pull her away from her book, she would also enjoy jet skiing and spending time at the lake, fishing, shooting, and archery. She always had milk and cookies before bed and a cold mountain dew with her meals (the mountain dew in the fridge was hers!). She was devoted to her couch and her pets. Amanda was a compassionate soul and at the same time was not afraid to speak her truth.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Dwight and Marlene; grandfather, Gerald Fischer; grandmother, Marge Perkins; aunts, Viola (Gene) Gefroh, Judy (Wes) Loebs, Diane Vetter, Jane Vetter, Sandie Perkins, and Julie Sharff; uncles, Craig Perkins, Kent Perkins, Stacy (Diana) Perkins, Kevin (Peggy) Perkins, Philip Vetter, and Larry Vetter; godson, Hayden Olson; Ya-Ya Sister, Vanessa (Perkins) Pullen; her dear friends, Kim Kotzer and Patrick Swiggum; beloved pets, Bayor and Zoey; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Philip and Annie Vetter, Kenneth Perkins, and Lola Fischer; uncles, Kenny and Ralph Vetter; and her beloved cat, Opial.

Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, March 25, 2019, at Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.
