Amelia A. Jahr

Amelia A. Jahr, 90, Moorhead, MN. died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 in Eventide Lutheran Home. Amelia was born February 18, 1914 to Mathias and Karen Lyngby, in Hannaford, ND where she grew up and attended school. Amelia was married on February 18, 1935 to Orval E. Jahr in Moorhead, MN.Amelia spent her life raising her three daughters and helping care for her grandchildren. She also did daycare in her home for many years.Her main enjoyment was spending time with her family and getting together with friends for a good game of cards and socializing.Amelia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Orval E. Jahr, and her brother Ingvald Lyngby.She is survived by three daughters; Darlene Dave Stretz, Twin Peaks, CA, Kathy Folden, Moorhead, MN, and Cheryl Bruce Jaster, Fargo, ND; one sister, Myrtle Corneliuson, Grand Forks, ND; two brothers, Carl Bess Lyngby, Grand Forks, ND, Reynard Marlyn Lyngby, Mesa, AZ; one sister in law, Bea Lyngby, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
