Andrea Norma Langeberg

Andrea Norma (Fjelde) Langeberg, 82, of Moorhead, MN, died on June 2, 2024, in her home at River Pointe in Moorhead under the care of Ethos Hospice.

Andrea was born on July 8, 1941, in Fargo, ND, to Jacob and Norma (Almos) Fjelde. She graduated from Fargo South High School.

Andrea met the love of her life, Ronald Langeberg, and they were married on September 17, 1959. They were married just short of 55 years. They had four children.

Andrea had a variety of jobs from working at a Flower Shop, secretary at The Newman Center Catholic Church for MSUM in Moorhead. Mostly, she was a very talented rosemaling artist. Her paintings were beautiful and went to a lot of Norwegian Festivals selling her artwork and helping organize the festivals.

Andrea and Ron traveled a lot for Ron’s work at Industrial Builders and they enjoyed new areas and new food traditions, like fried turkeys and the infamous Cajun seafood boils. They have land in Twin Valley, MN, that started out as hunting land and developed into what they named, The Ranch. With that, they had many family reunions, a wedding, and lots of celebrations where they showed off their talents of turkey fries and seafood boils. She was an excellent cook and loved entertaining. She loved her family so much.

Andrea is survived by her children, Anthony Langeberg, Shelly Langeberg, Rod Langeberg, and Teresa (Dean) Somers; grandchildren, Laura (Joey) Fowler, Janna (Michael) Kurian, Jacob (Kenzie) Langeberg, Justin (Megan) Richter, Christopher (Tonya Hust) Alfaro, Thomas Langeberg, Jessica (Luke) Kneip, and Kaitlyn Somers; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; in-laws; and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; parents, Jacob and Norma; in-laws, William and Hildegard Langeberg; brother, Bruce (Kaye) Fjelde; sister, Marcia Buterin; brothers-in-law, Jerome Buterin, Larry Langeberg, Corby Langeberg, and Tim Langeberg.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 P.M., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
