Angela J. Pangelinan

August 12, 1966 — September 5, 2014

Angela Jeanette Chavez Pangelinan passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 from a traumatic brain injury caused by a motorcycle accident that occurred on August 30, 2014.

“Angie” was born on August 12, 1966 in San Jose, California to Frances Valdivia and Julio Chavez. As a young girl, the family moved to Hawaii where Angie graduated from Waialua High School in 1985. In 1986, Angie enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington State and continued in the Navy reserves until 1989. During this time, she met the love of her life, Michael Thomas Pangelinan, who was also in the Navy and they were married on December 23, 1986. In December of 1987, their first child, Sarah was born. In 1990, while the family was stationed in Guam, Angie began beauty school and in 1991, Angie graduated from the Bellingham school of beauty when the family returned to Washington State. In 1996, while living in Virginia, Angie gave birth to their second child Jacob and the following year the family returned to Washington State. In June of 2000, Angie and her family moved to Moorhead, MN. While living in Moorhead, Angie continued her career as a Hairdresser at Cost Cutters and Hairway 2 Heaven. She also worked in the laundry department at the VA Hospital in Fargo, ND and in the past year worked as a paraprofessional for the Fargo Public School District. Angie also volunteered for Hospice of the Red River Valley, which gave her great joy.

Angie’s loves in her life were her family, her faith she is a long standing member of Eckankar: Religion of the Light and Sound of God, her miniature schnauzers Jack and Charlie Charlie passed two weeks prior to Angie, and her Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

On beautiful sunny days, all Angie wanted to do was ride. She had no fear of riding by herself but loved to ride alongside her husband. Angie was a member of the Fargo HOG Chapter and was once featured in the Harley Davidson 2013 Calendar. Angie enjoyed Sturgis 5 times, trips to Beartooth, Montana, Ely, and the Goddess Girls trips.

Angie was such a beautiful and loving soul. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her smile, her kindness, and her loving hugs.

Angie is preceded in death by her grandparents Julio and Eleanor Chavez, Elia Alvarez, father-in-law Jesus Pangelinan and schnauzer Charlie. Angie is survived by her husband Michael, children Sarah and Jacob Moorhead, MN, parents Frances Valdivia Chanhassen, MN, Julio Rebecca Chavez, Marysville, WA, sister Cyndi Roy Makin Chanhassen, MN, sister Julie Chad Hahn Chavez Marysville, WA, niece Kristin Makin Chanhassen, MN, nephew Ryker Boswell Marysville, WA and many more family and friends.

Angie left us doing what she loved, riding her Harley. May the Blessings Be.
