Ann was born September 23, 1922, in Havre, MT, to Joseph and Eva Schweitzer. She was baptized at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Linton, ND. Ann attended school and graduated from Berlin High School in Berlin, ND. On November 8, 1943, she married Alfred Baumgartner in Berlin, ND. Together they started a family and farmed in Berlin and LaMoure, ND. In 1966, they moved to Moorhead. Ann worked for the Fargo/Moorhead Hotel and later the Highway Host, where she was a cook and a baker until retirement. Ann enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, baking and playing cards. She also enjoyed yard games and spending time at their cabin on Lake Lida, but most of all loved the time with family, especially her grandchildren.Ann is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alfred; seven sons, Daniel of Las Vegas, NV, Phillip of Moorhead, MN, Bob of Dilworth, MN, Allen Suzette Solheim of Las Cruces, NM, Mike Tammy of Dilworth, MN, Mark of Erhard, MN, Frank of Hawley, MN; seven daughters, Theresa Huber of Fargo, ND, Janette Baumgartner of Fargo, ND, Linda Bob Gundersen of Minneapolis, MN, Diane Scott Engen of Fargo, ND, Pam Wes Fletcher of Minneapolis, MN, Sheri John Hanson of Dilworth, MN, Mary Ann Brian Langager of Big Lake, MN; 28 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay Chuck Morehead, Loretta Dick Leonard; and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eva; two children; granddaughter, Brenda Huber Krueger; sister, Betty; and brothers, Tony, Frank, Bill, Jake, Joe, and Leander.
