Ann Marie Schultz

Ann Marie Schultz, 67, of Hawley, MN, died Monday, May 11, 2020, with her family by her side, under care of Sanford Hospice at Sanford Health Medical Center in Fargo.

Ann was born December 18, 1952, in Fargo, ND, to Leonard and Elsie (Boelz Sahlberg) Jeral. She grew up in Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 1970.  After high school she attended Rita’s Beauty School in Moorhead and worked as an instructor there for some time.  On August 22, 1982 Ann was united in marriage to Steve Schultz at Lysne Lutheran Church in Hawley and they made their home in the Hawley area. She worked as a paraprofessional in Ulen-Hitterdal and also at American Linen and Porta-Co.  She then spent 15 years working in production at Integrity Windows.

Ann always held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.  She enjoyed taking vacations with her girls and afternoon drives with her husband.  She especially loved her flower gardens and her birdbath.  She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Schultz, of Hawley; her daughter, Dawn (Jesse) Blakeway and  children, Austin and Ashlee, of Hawley; her son, Derek (Alyssa) Schultz and children, Avery and Bailee, of Hawley;  her mother, Elsie Jeral, of Ulen, MN; her brothers, Leonard Wayne Jeral, of Arizona, and Timothy (Wendy) Jeral, of Hawley, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, her father-in-law, Lyle and her sister-in-law, Alma Faye.

A memorial gathering will be held on August 28, 2020, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 5:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Hawley.  Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Immediately following the service there will be a gathering and meal at Steve’s farm: 19147 100^th Ave. N. Hawley, MN 56549.
