Adored Grandma, Beloved Mother, Dearest Friend - Ann Age 72 grew up near Lake Park and resided in Moorhead, embracing life, community, friends, and family as only she could.
Ann dedicated her life to giving and helping others. She received her degree in Social Work from Moorhead State University in 1987 and worked tirelessly as a licensed social worker for over 25 years. Ann’s compassion knew no bounds. Peace, social justice and equality for all were values in which she believed passionately and led her to a “once in a lifetime” moment when she attended the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Ann served as the Treasurer of the Clay County DFL at the time of her passing. May her passion and spirit persist.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mabel Thorsen, and brother Paul Ann Thorsen. She is survived by her son, Robert Erin, and granddaughter, Maddie, whom she loved without end, and everyone of her family and friends, both near and far, all of whom she held dear. May her memory be for a blessing.
