Ardella R. Knott

Ardella Rebecca Fossum Knott, age 82 of Rockwall, TX, passed away September 12, 2010. She was born July 2, 1928 in Flaxton, ND, to Julius C. & Hanna M. Nelson Fossum. She grew up near Kragnes, MN, and attended Oak Grove and Moorhead High School, graduating from Moorhead High in 1946. She married Donald Knott on September 12, 1948. Ardella was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was very caring and giving. She enjoyed making crafts and was very creative. Ardella was a member of the Sew ‘n Sews group, First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist’s Women’s Group. She and Donald enjoyed many summers on Big Cormorant Lake. She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Donald T. Knott of Rockwall, TX; children: Stephen Knott & wife Susan of Rockwall, TX, Jean Hewitt & husband John of Bixby, OK, Gary Knott of Rossville, TN, Robert Knott & wife Carol of Topeka, KS, and Roger Knott & wife Joyce of Woodridge, IL; grandchildren: Ryan, Shelley, Katie, Rebekah, Jessica, Aaron, Sarah, Aubrene and Amber; great grandchildren: Chandler, Matthew and Austin; brothers: Lloyd Fossum & wife Pat of Moorhead, MN, and Lowell Fossum & wife Dixie of Colonial Heights, VA; sister-in-law: Mary Fossum of Moorhead, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ardella was preceded in death by her parents; and brother: Leroy Fossum.
