Arla J. Westlund

Arla Westlund, 75, Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo, ND, died on Friday, November 23, 2012, in the nursing home.Arla Jean Goldade was born on January 31, 1937, in Wishek, ND, to John and Clara Bossert Goldade. She grew up and attended school in West Fargo, ND. Arla married Delvin Westlund on February 19, 1962 and they lived in Hibbing and Hawley, MN. She was a homemaker and worked at Chuck's Bakery in Hawley. Del died on December 2, 1978. Arla married Bill Westlund in March of 1980. They lived in Hawley until moving to Columbus, OH in 1987, where she worked at a photo lab. They returned to Fargo in December of 1992. Bill died December 1996. She managed an apartment building in Fargo until retiring. She had been living at Sheyenne Crossings at the time of her death. Arla was a big fan of the F-M RedHawks and loved to go to games with her brother and sister. She also enjoyed watching the WWF on television Arla is survived by her sons, Wayne Pfeifer, Coeur D'Alene, ID, and Chris Westlund, San Jose, CA; daughters, Cathy Pfeifer, Burke, VA, Jennifer Nelson, Milo Johnson, Hawley, MN; four grandchildren, Josh, Kale, Whitney, Kelsey; two great-grandchildren; step-son Jim Sheri Westlund, and grandchildren Amanda and Christopher; two brothers, Ronald Kathy Goldade, Fargo, ND, Leo Sharon Goldade, Dacono, CO; three sisters, Betty Ferdinand Duvall, Fargo, ND, Sally Edwards, San Pablo, CA, and Evangeline Baker, Concord, CA.; and many nieces and nephews.
