Arlene C. Larson

Arlene Carol Norman, was born to Oscar and Clara Norman in Hawley, MN. She graduated from Hawley High School in 1956. Arlene married Victor H. Larson, Jr. on August 25, 1956 in Hawley. In 1958 they moved to Lake Park. She worked at the Hilltop Lounge and later at the Lake Park Liquor Store for 28 years, where she was known as "Pixie". She retired in 1998. She loved cooking and dancing. She taught all of her kids to dance to Polka Party. She opened her home to many people and they all called her "Ma." Arlene is survived by her children, Vernon Carol of Hibbing, Veril Dawn of West Fargo, Vicki of Lake Park, Vereen Toni of Jamestown, Vance of Lake Park, Vincent Lyn of Lake Park, Valerie Gary Frieler of Lake Park, Vaughn of Moorhead, Vanessa David Gage of Lake Park, Victor Kiara of Moorhead, Vergil Sarah Welter of Zimmerman; 21 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one brother, James Karen Norman of Glyndon; four sisters, Thelma Hanson of Hawley, Ethel Bob Cullen of Fargo, Clara Johnson of Ocotillo, CA, Shirley Norman of Fargo; and many nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death were her parents Oscar and Clara; husband, Victor; one brother, Glen; and one sister, Jane.
