Arlene L. Edeen

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bennett Edeen. Arlene will be greatly missed by her children, Terri John Godtland, Becki Bradley Pearson, Staci Roehrich, Darin Kristen Edeen; grandchildren, Brady Godtland, Evan Godtland, Scotty Roehrich, Tanner Roehrich, Ethan Edeen, Bennett Edeen, Aiden Edeen; great-grandson, Zaeden Roehrich; sisters, Grace Nelson, Audrey Perkins, Lorraine Marvin Gubrud, Margaret Kenneth Solberg, Shirley Roger Riveria; one brother, Leslie Sharon Olson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.Arlene was born September 17, 1934, in Minerva Township, Bagley, MN, to August and Lottie Olson. She was the oldest of seven children and learned at age 15, when her mother passed away, the responsibilities and honor of taking care of the family. After graduating from Bagley High School she completed one year of teacher training in Grand Forks, ND. She taught at country schools until her marriage to Bennett Edeen on March 2, 1957, in Missoula, MT. they moved to Moorhead, MN, before settling in Dilworth in 1960 to raise their family. Arlene chose to stay at home with her children until they were all in school and then returned to teaching. She later retired and started her favorite full-time job as "Grandma". Arlene enjoyed life-gardening, canning, picking berries, dancing, cooking, and road trips to the casino. She was a "people person" and loved opening her home to family and friends at any time. Arlene genuinely loved and appreciated everyone who touched her life. She will be greatly missed.
