Arlin Klevgaard

Arlin “AK” Klevgaard, 71, of Ulen, MN, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Arlin Klevgaard was born March 19, 1945 to Rudolph and Eleaner Larson Klevgaard in Ada, MN. He grew up on the family farm near Felton, MN. He graduated from Felton High School in 1963 and went on to attended Interstate Business College in Moorhead, MN.

Arlin married Sharon Puhalla on March 19, 1964 in Fargo, ND, and they raised their family in Moorhead.

He spent the majority of his working career as a salesman of building materials. During this time, he also guided bear hunts for several fall and spring seasons. He later drove a charter bus for Richard’s Transportation.

Arlin enjoyed a number of sporting activities where he made many lifelong friends. He had an outgoing personality and a very distinctive laugh. He loved to play jokes, pull pranks and have a beer with his buddies. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids who he loved dearly.

Arlin is survived by his wife, Sharon, Ulen, MN; son, Michael Klevgaard, Ulen, MN; daughter, RaShell Gerry Cliche Klevgaard, Quebec, Canada; sister, Elaine Sipe, Moorhead, MN; brothers, Paul Deb Klevgaard, Felton, MN, John Suzi Klevgaard, Felton, MN, Mark Geralyn Klevgaard, Hawley, MN, Luke Marita Klevgaard, Two Harbors, MN; grandchildren, Anthony Becci Mitchell, New London, MO, Jacob Klevgaard, Felton, MN and Kayla Klevgaard, Moorhead, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Ibach; brothers, Ole and Reuben Klevgaard; brothers-in-law, James Sipe and William Ibach and nephew, Thomas Ibach.

Visitation: Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Jevnaker Lutheran Church, rural Borup, MN.

Interment: Jevnaker Church Cemetery.
