Arnold A. Gronbeck

Arnold A. Gronbeck, 84, passed away on October 16, 2014 at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.

Arnold was born on June 24, 1930 near Leonard, ND, to Arnie and Josephine Vangsness Gronbeck. He graduated from Leonard High School and entered the US Navy, serving from 1950-54. Arnold was united in marriage on March 28, 1954 to Darlene Hoy. Arnold owned Arnie’s Sewing Machine Repair from 1964 until entering Eventide.

Arnold is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene; three daughters, Coleen Don Tietz, Detroit Lakes, Cindy Pat Hilber, Fargo, and Randi Conrad Bernard, Moorhead; daughter-in-law, Pam Gronbeck, Moorhead; four grandchildren, Amy Jason Coley, Guy Anna Tietz, Kyle Gronbeck, Daylene Bernard; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Averi Coley; and two special girls, Lynn Myers and Shelly Laske.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard, his parents and siblings.

The family would like to thank Pastor Streed and all the wonderful staff at Eventide for their exceptional care.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Bottolfson Chapel in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Moorhead, MN, at a later date.
