Arthur T. ’Art’ Sater

Arthur "Art" T. Sater, 58, of Moorhead, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Art was born on April 29, 1947 to Arthur and Tina Hovi Sater in Fargo, ND. At a young age, Art and his family moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where he grew up and attended school, graduating from Washington Senior High School in 1965. Art attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, graduating with a business administration degree in 1969. Soon after he graduated from Augustana, Art joined the United States Army. He served his country overseas in Hawaii for two years. Art was honorably discharged in October of 1971. On February 19, 1972, Art married the love of his life, Janet Ellwein, together they spent 33 wonderful years. Art was a hard worker, who worked as a traveling accounting representative for over 30 years for ADM-Benson Quinn. Art was an avid golfer, loved riding his Harley, and with his dry sense of humor, made many friends. Last February Art and January took their last trip together to South Africa to visit a good friend. Art will be missed dearly by his many friends and family.Art is survived by his mother, Tina Hovi Sater, Edina, MN; his wife, January Ellwein Sater, Moorhead, MN; one daughter, Nicole Michael Anderson, Moorhead, MN; a special grand-daughter, Megan Engelstad, Moorhead, MN; one brother, Steve Sater, Chester, SD; one sister, Judy Len Haseman, Eagan, MN and many nieces and nephews.Art is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Sater and one brother, David Sater.
