Arthur W. Burley

Arthur W. Burley, 90, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, died Thursday, July 6, 2006, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, FL, under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County, FL.Arthur was born on April 8, 1916 to Arthur and Mary Haworth Burley in Gardner, ND. He grew up and attended school in Gardner, graduating from Gardner High School in 1934. Arthur continued to farm in the Gardner area until his retirement in 1978. After his retirement he moved to Florida, where he has been since. On June 1, 1939 he married Thelma "Lillian" Lerud in Perley, ND. Together they had three children. Lillian died in 1984. In 1988 he then married Vivan Jongeling in February, 1988. Vivian died in 2004. Arthur enjoyed fishing and hunting in his later years, dancing and gardening. He will be missed by his family and friends.He is survived by two sons, Douglas Peggy Burley, Colorado Springs, CO, Keith Burley, Okeechobee, FL; one daughter, Sandra James Dathe, Roopville, GA; one brother, Martin Burley, Whittier, CA; one sister, Virginia Kolba, Moorhead, MN; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Delos Burley.
