Arvid E. Bjorem

Arvid Earl Bjorem was born October 16, 1937 in Ada, MN, to Earl and Bernice Bjorem. He grew tired and went to be with our Lord on August 14, 2012.Arvid married Shirley Klimek in Moorhead, MN, on February 11, 1956. He was proud to belong to the Bricklayer's Union and worked for many construction companies in the Fargo-Moorhead area. He later married Karen Wolf in Burien, WA on August 21, 1983. They lived in the Seattle, WA, area most of their life. He loved his job at ELDEC as Maintenance Contract Manager and enjoyed working at the family owned Dairy Queen. In 2005, they moved to Sunny Arizona to retire. They loved exploring the southwest on horseback and foot. In 2010 they returned to Seattle due to health and to be closer to family. His wife and best friend of thirty years passed away December 4, 2011. He returned to Minnesota to be closer to his family in January of 2012. He said he missed looking in the rear view mirror and watching the dust as he drove on a gravel road.Arvid had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed singing his little jingle songs. He was a proud and gentle man. He will always be in our memory and forever in our hearts.Arvid is survived by his daughter, Karla Bjorem Huso, Fargo, ND; sons Arvid Jerome Bjorem Vicki, Caledonia, ND, David Bjorem Joanne, Hawley, MN, Son Allen Bjorem Debbie, Fargo, ND; step-daughter, Cindy Stanaway Dan, Seattle, WA; stepson John Wolf Roxann Seattle, WA; twenty-one grandchildren, Jeremy Bjorem Jennie, Tyler Bjorem-Miller, Joshua Bjorem Tara, Sherise Remmick Jason, John Bjorem Brandi, Monica Bjorem, Amy Bjorem, Vincent Bjorem, Karynna Bjorem, Dannelle Rademacher Stephen, Nathan Stanaway Tishia, Johnny Wolf, Mandy Adams Aaron, Jeremy Wolf Jenny, Michael wolf, Justin Wolf, Jesse Wolf, Lucas Hansen, Mary Hansen, Melissa DuBord-Magram, Adam DuBord; nineteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; sisters, Audrey Olsen Ronald, Karen Grossman, Lois Brenda Cayasso; brother, Glenn Mills. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, mother Bernice, father Earl, brother Jerome, sisters Janet Larson, Shelda Bray and Lois Bjorem.
