Ashley “Sterling Bird” Tellinghuisen

Ashley “Sterling Bird” Tellinghuisen, 33, of Moorhead, MN, passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2020.

Ashley was born June 23, 1987, in Pipestone, MN, to Connie Jackson and Todd Tellinghuisen.  She attended elementary school in Pipestone and the family later moved to Moorhead where she attended 6^th through 11^th grade.  Ashley loved cooking and baking for family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and was always trying to make people laugh.  She loved to dance and enjoyed being a fancy shawl dancer at the pow-wows.  She loved spending time at the park with her children and cruising around town with friends.  Family meant the world to Ashley, and she especially loved family gatherings at the home of Jessica and Carlos.  She had a wide circle of friends, but especially loved visiting her friend, Martin.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Ashley was a loving mother who always had her babies by her side, and she will forever be missed by her children, Jada Tellinghuisen, Sarah Bird, Wicahpi Tellinghuisen, Chaske Bird, Madeline Bird, River Bird and Jayden Tellinghuisen; her mother, Connie Jackson (William White), her sisters, Jessica Tellinghuisen (Carlos Tamez) and Abby Tellinghuisen; her brother, Austin Tellinghuisen; her maternal grandmother, Jenny Jackson and paternal grandparents Betty and Earl Tellinghuisen; her aunts, LuWanda Jackson, Terri (Brian) Jackson, Valerie Eischens, Pam Tellinghuisen, Linette Bahn and Laurie Ykema; her special cousin, Willis Jackson; her special niece, Livia Tamez; her very special friend, Nina Ross, and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Todd Tellinghuisen; her grandfather, Sonny Jackson and uncles Michael and William G. Jackson.

An all-night wake will be held Monday, October 5^th, beginning at 4:00 P.M. and continuing until 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, October 6^th, at 1309 17^th St. N. Moorhead, MN.  Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 6^th at 2:00 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead.
