Audra L. Luetjens

Audra L. Luetjens, 35, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Sanford Health’s Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND. Audra was born June 5, 1983, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Charles and Bonnie (DeBoer) Sorensen. She spent her childhood in Sioux Falls until moving to Moorhead in 1995. Audra graduated from Moorhead High School before continuing her education at U of M in Morris, MN. She later attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead before graduating from North Dakota State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a nurse, she started her career with Sanford Health in Fargo. In 2011, Audra married James Luetjens and together they made their home in Moorhead. She most recently enjoyed working as a nurse at the V.A. Medical Center in Fargo.

Audra enjoyed traveling, fishing, arts and crafts, and cooking. Audra was a talented musician and loved music. Most of all, however, Audra loved being a wife and mother and spending time with her family. Audra was known for her kindness, her beautiful smile, and her wonderful sense of humor. She was a very caring person and had a huge heart. She will be dearly missed.

Audra is survived by her husband, James; sons, Austin and Tanner Luetjens; father, Charles Sorensen; aunts and uncles, Barb Sorensen, Laura (Mike) Shelbourn, Ken Uhren, Neil (Kari) Sorensen, Jill (Ken) Hostetter, Randy (Jeannine Ogle) DeBoer, Dave (Marilyn) DeBoer, Janelle (Wayne) Shanks, and LaRon (Lori) DeBoer; mother-in-law, Laura (Tom) Hargreaves; sister-in-law, Peggy (J.T.) Hargreaves; and many loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Sorensen; sister, Joelle Sorensen; grandparents, Daniel and Cathern DeBoer, and Ralph and Nina Sorensen; uncle, Paul Sorensen; and aunt, Vivian Uhren.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 28, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral will be Saturday, July 28, at 11:00 a.m., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
