Austin W. Wagar

Austin W. Wagar, 17, of Sabin, MN passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Austin Wayne Wagar, son of Heath Wagar and Jamie Scott Olson, was born on July 10, 1995 in Twenty Nine Palms, CA. Austin attended Moorhead High School, where he participated in soccer. He loved attending school to interact with his classmates and amuse them with his good sense of humor and antics. It was evident by all of the friends who showed up at the hospital and candlelight vigil how much he touched people's lives. He was full of life and loved to be around his family and friends. His life's motto was YOLO! Austin enjoyed outdoor activities and was always on the go. He had a natural athleticism. At MN Thunder soccer camp he was given the MVP award. His favorite place was grandpa and grandma's lake, where he simply loved wakeboarding, tubing, and snowmobiling. Austin had a special talent for playing the guitar and beating on the drums. He was recently employed at Hollister, a job he was looking forward to. Although his time was so short, his life was lived to the fullest each and every day. The memories Austin gave us left imprints on our hearts that will be with us always. He will be dearly missed. Austin is survived by his mother, Jamie Scott Olson, Sabin, MN; father, Heath Wagar, Kansas City, MO; sisters, Kyrstin Lightfoot, Shakopee, MN and Josslyn Vesledahl, Kansas City, MO; grandparents, Curt and Orella Olson, Audubon, MN, Wayne and Cindy Wagar, St. Francis, MN and Janet Pruitt, Apple Valley, MN; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Diane and Donald Leeper.
