Barb M. Olson

Barbro M. Olson passed away after a brief illness on November 11, 2017 at Sandford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Barbro was born to Rudolph and Netta (Nelson) Softing on September 13, 1936.  She grew up on a farm near Rollag, MN, and graduated from Hawley High School.  She spent her summers working and living at Fair Hills on Pelican Lake before she married Allan Olson on April 21, 1956.  They made their home in Moorhead where she went on to raise four children before she became the “Best darn Lunch Lady” at Moorhead Senior High.

Barb enjoyed the lake with her family and friends and playing bingo at the Legion with her special friend, Jack.

She is survived by daughters, Becky (Randy) Terfehr, Cheyenne, WY, Kirsten (Bill) Rasmussen, Mhd, MN, Karen (John) Devenney, Mhd, MN; sister, Mary Tobolt, Mhd, MN, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Terry; parents; brother, Davis and her nephews.

Visitation will be held at Wright Funeral Home on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead, MN.
