Barbara A. Reppen

Barbara A. Reppen, age 71, of Moorhead, MN, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.

Barbara Ann Eide was born December 25, 1941 to parents Kermit and Arna Leiseth Eide. She grew up and graduated from high school in Moorhead, MN. She taught Head Start for a short time before starting her 26 year dispatching career at Doyle’s Yellow Checker Cab, Fargo, ND.

Barbara married James Reppen in 1962 and had five children whom she raised on her own with grace and determination since 1972. Time and time again, Barbara beat all the odds as a 22 year cancer survivor of uterine1990, breast2000 and lung cancer2011. We are blessed that God gave us such a wonderful role model.

She is survived by her children, Brad partner Clay Henderson, Irving, TX; Stefanie Gene Anderson, Fargo, ND; Julie Micheal Smith, Prairie Rose, ND; Steven, Moorhead, MN; Doug Heide , Midland, TX; grandchildren Zachary, Katelyn and Courtney Anderson; Ryan and Morgan Smith; brothers Nick Betsy Eide; David Carrie Eide; sisters Judy Lance Johnson; Debby Wayne Hall; Joni Rodney Kummer.

Memorial Gathering: Friday, April 12, 2013 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Courtyard by Marriott, Moorhead, MN.

Memorial Service: Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND.

Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN.
