Barbara Diane Felde was born on April 25, 1930 to Alvin and Helen Bowlby in Minot, ND. She was a graduate of Minot High School, attended Minot State College, and received her Medical Technologist certification from Trinity Hospital in Minot. She specialized in microbiology. Barb met her husband of 58 years, Norm Felde, when he was playing baseball for the Minot Mallards. They moved to Moorhead in 1954 where they raised their four children. Barb worked for many years as a medical technologist at St. Ansgar Hospital. She and Norm also owned and operated the golf course in Barnesville, MN, for ten years. Barb enjoyed riding horses, painting, golf, travel with her girlfriends the JJ's, and theater. Noted for her singing voice, she performed in several Sabin PTA talent shows and St. Ansgar benefit Pills A' Poppin'. Barb is loved by family and friends for her great sense of humor and storytelling. She was always the life of the party.Barb is survived by her husband, Norm Felde of Moorhead, MN, and four children: Diane Douglas Finke of Carlton, MN, David Terri Felde of Oak Ridge, TN, Deb Steve Mercurio Tocci of Chandler, AZ, and Douglas Kerri Felde of Pasadena, CA; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Don Bowlby, and grandson, Peter Tocci. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eventide Lutheran Home.Barb's family would like to thank all the loving caregivers at Eventide.
