Barbara Mae Cossette

Barbara Mae (Steichen) Cossette, 59, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in Sanford on Broadway, Fargo, ND.

Barbara was born on June 6, 1960, to Dan and Angeline (Peterson) Steichen, in Detroit Lakes, MN. She graduated from High School in Ulen, MN. She attended Moorhead Tech where she earned her certificate in secretarial work. She began her career in office secretarial work, working for many insurance companies, radio stations, and the F.M. Convention and Visitors Bureau. Barbara opened her own business, Graphic Images, where she created signs, banners, advertisements, and an assortment of signage all by hand. She then began her work decorating cakes for over 14 years working mainly for Quality Bakery. Her decorating skills earned her many awards in various competitions. Due to health issues, Barbara retired in Moorhead where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Joe Cossette; daughter, Jocelyn (Chad) Frazee; mother, Angeline; sisters, Lori (Kent) Eken and Lynette (Dale) Juve; brothers, John (Victoria) Steichen, Kenny Steichen, and Perry Steichen; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Dan.

A private family memorial service will be held.
