Beatrice May Sahlberg, 84, of Hawley, MN, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Bea was born May 9, 1930 in Audubon Township, Becker County, MN, the daughter of Conrad and Hazel Renslow Sather. Bea graduated from Hitterdal High School and then worked at Manchester’s Bakery in Moorhead. She later worked at the Golf Course and Lefse Land Café in Hawley. Bea married Carl Sahlberg on November 26, 1951 at Keene Lutheran Church.
Bea enjoyed bowling, baking, traveling, taking pictures and spending time with her family. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church in Hitterdal, MN most of her life.
She has resided at Northern Lights Assisted Living in Ulen, MN for the past two years.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Delphine Hitterdal, and son-in-law, John Wiedeman.
She is survived by her husband, Carl of Ulen, MN; her children, Stewart Becky of Monticello, MN, Steven Roxanne of St. Simmons Island, GA, Greg LaVaun of West Fargo, ND, Sherri the late John Wiedeman of Lake Park, MN, Sheila Sahlberg of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Gaylan Kaye of Hawley, MN; sister, Charlene Gordon Amundson of New Hope, MN ; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: Monday, March 2, 2015, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Salem Lutheran Church, Hitterdal, MN.
Funeral: Monday, March 2, 2015, 11:00 a.m., Salem Lutheran Church, Hitteral, MN.
Interment: Salem East Cemetery, Hitterdal, MN.
