Benjamin E. Stein

Benjamin E. Stein, 22, Moorhead, MN, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Benjamin Earl Stein was born on November 3, 1992, in St. John’s Hospital, Fargo, ND, to Kevin and Jane Anderson Stein. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead, MN, graduating from Moorhead High School in 2011. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. He attended St. Cloud State University for one year and then attended the University of Arizona, Tucson. He enjoyed all sports and played hockey throughout his youth. He was fortunate to have many good friends and he loved hanging out with them.
Ben fought a courageous two and half year battle with brain cancer and he never complained and always had a smile.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Jane Stein, Moorhead, MN; brother Matthew Stein, West Fargo, ND; sisters Elizabeth “Lizzy” Stein and Kate Stein, both of Moorhead; grandparents, Phyllis Anderson, Moorhead, MN, and Earl and Kathy Stein, Moorhead, MN; uncle Craig Stein, Moorhead, MN; aunt Lisa Keith Schmitz, Ft. Worth, TX; four cousins, Lindsay, Kelsey, Kendra and Zach.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bud Anderson; uncle Scott Anderson; and infant brother Michael.
Visitation: Friday, 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Saturday, 11:00 A.M., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
