Benneth (Benny) Braseth

Benneth Braseth, 88, of Lake Park, MN, passed away on February 27, 2018.

Benny was born on February 20, 1930, in rural Lake Park, son of Oscar and Anna (Ness) Braseth.  Benny moved at the age of 16 to the Gilford, MT area to live and work with the Arvin Aageson family on their ranch.  He returned to Lake Park in 1963 where he farmed and worked as a cross country truck driver.

Benny married Susie Schneeberg on September 8, 1973.  In 1978 he began working at the Anheuser Busch malt plant in Moorhead until he retired in 1995.  His favorite pastimes were working in his shop, farming and spending time on the lake.  He was a long -time member of Park Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Cormorant Lions.

Benny is survived by his wife, Susie, of 44 years; 4 sisters, Alvida, Geneva, Carol and Rachel; father-in-law, Floyd Schneeberg; sisters-in-law, Judy (Bill) Handke, Flora Braseth and Leanne Braseth; brother-in-law, Kenny (Maggie) Schneeberg; 26 nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Everett, Kenneth and Donald; sisters, Elda, Barbara and Ramona; nieces, Terry and Debbie and nephews, Steve and Dean.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., at Rollag Lutheran Church, rural Hawley, MN. Interment will take place at Park Lutheran Cemetery.
