Betsy Kjelvik

Betsy C. Kjelvik, 91, Bethany Homes, 201 S. University Drive, Fargo, ND, died on December 15, 2005, in Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND.Betsy C. Qualley was born on July 14, 1914, in Leonard, ND, where she grew up and attended school. She married Wilhelm Kjelvik on September 13, 1933, in Moorhead, MN, and they made their home near Horace, ND. She worked in the Bakery at NDSU and also as a cook at the NDSU Farmhouse Fraternity. Wilhelm died on August 24, 1972. Betsy had been an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and was also active at Bethany Homes, Sons of Norway and the Bonanzaville Belles.She is survived by two sons, Darrel Kjelvik, Fargo, ND, and Bruce Corrine Kjelvik, Mesa, AZ; two brothers, John Eleanore Qualley, Mentor, MN, and Harold Myrtle Qualley, Alpha, MN; two sisters, Esther Vandervort, Crookston, MN, and Lillian Schuette, Bloomington, MN; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
