Betty Melby ObituaryBetty Melby, 78, Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at her home surrounded by her family under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.Betty was born on July 04, 1925, in Hewitt, MN, to Wally and Marie Spring. Betty married Warren Melby on May 12, 1942 and had one son, Joe. Betty worked as a waitress and a homemaker all her life. She was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her children and grandchildren dearly, Betty will be missed by many. Betty is survived by her husband, Warren Melby, Moorhead, MN, one son, Joe Terryl Melby, Moorhead, MN, one sister, Mary McDonald, Montrose, SD, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Wally and Marie Spring, her step-father, Harry Falaas, and one sister Lavern Sorenson.
