Beverly A. Hurner

Beverly A. Hurner, 76, of rural Glyndon, MN, joined her Savior on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, in her home, under the care of her family and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Beverly Ann Dittmer was born on April 30, 1939, in Fargo, ND to Benjamin and Amy Kragness Dittmer. She grew up in North Dakota and Felton, MN, where she graduated from Felton High School. Bev then attended Interstate Business College, Fargo, ND. Bev worked at First National Bank in Fargo, ND, after college. On January 31, 1959, Bev married Donald Hurner. They made their home in rural Glyndon, MN, where they raised their three children. Bev was a homemaker, dedicated volunteer and helped with the farming.

Bev was faithful and active in the church. She served with WELCA, and was active in VBS, Sunday School, BSF and other church activities. She was also involved with 4-H for many years. Don and Bev spent their winters on Sanibel Island, Florida. Bev enjoyed spending time at the lake, but most of all she enjoyed having her family all together.

Bev is survived by her husband of 56 years, Don; son, Craig Carla Hurner, Glyndon, MN; daughters, Kari Tim McLean, Wheatland, ND, and Jodi Sean Dianchrist, Farmington, MN; grandchildren, Daniel Hannah Hurner, Ashley, Reid and Josiah Hurner, Sonja, Tyler and Logan McLean, Zach and Nick Dianchrist; great-grandchild, Eloise Hurner and one on the way . She is also survived by her mother, Amy Dittmer; brother, Lee Connie Dittmer; sister, Liz Charlie Richards; aunt, Ina Kragness; uncle, Vernon Kragness; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Dittmer.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Bev’s name to Cass County Jail Chaplains, Voice of the Martyrs and Gideons.

Visitation: Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.
Interment: Moorhead Memorial Garden, Moorhead, MN.
