Beverly A. Okke

Beverly Ann Grant Okke, 70, of Fargo, ND passed away on September 16, 2013 peacefully at her residence. Beverly resided in Fargo, ND for the past sixteen years. She married Walter P. Okke on February 4, 1961 in Moorhead, MN. Together they made their home in Glyndon, MN, on a farm and raised six children. Bev had multiple jobs throughout her life but the most memorable was working for the VA hospital.

She enjoyed gardening, bowling, bingo, recipes, crossword puzzles and reading books. Bev especially loved the holidays when the entire family would get together.

Beverly is survived by her son, David Okke of Mapleton, ND; daughter, Patricia Francis Meche of Fargo, ND; daughter, Catherine Scott Buisman of Barnesville, MN; son, Mark Amy Okke of Savage, MN; daughter, Cheryl Jon Anderson of Dilworth, MN; son, Timothy Okke of Mapleton, ND; siblings, Donald Grant of Fargo, ND, Shirley Beckett of Glyndon, MN, Jerry Grant of St. Paul, MN, Janet Wittmeier of Moorhead, MN, Sharon Warren Sunde of Glyndon, MN, Richard Deb Grant of Fargo, ND, Bradley Grant of Audubon, MN; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Okke, and her parents Lyle and Dorothy Garske Grant.

Memorial Service: Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, MN.
