Beverly Ann Rolland

Beverly Rolland, 79, Hawley, MN, died Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Sanford Health Medical Center in Fargo, after a long, courageous battle with COPD.

Beverly Ann Harms was born June 12, 1939, in Grand Forks, ND, to Ervin and Ella (Bjorge) Harms.  She graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1958.  On October 10, 1959, she married Lonney Rolland in Mahnomen and together they had 3 children, Rhonda, Karen and Eric.  The family lived in Two Rivers, WI where Bev was employed by Paragon and Mirro Aluminum.  In 1974 they moved to Moorhead and in 1975 they bought their home in Hawley.  Bev owned and operated Bev’s Corner Café in Hawley and eventually retired from her job as a cook at Hawley Senior Living at the age of 62.

Bev loved gardening and spending time in her beautiful flower beds.  She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards and Bingo, and going to the casino.  Most of all, she loved visiting with family and friends. Bev was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she will truly be missed.

Bev is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Wayne) Olson, Brooklyn Park, MN and Karen Mayoue, Detroit Lakes, MN; son, Eric Rolland, Fargo; brothers, Richard (Donna) Harms, Crystal River, FL, James (Sandy) Harms, Fargo, Kenny (Carol) Harms, Fargo; sisters, Delayne Ekeberg, Fosston, MN, Mavis Nystad, Gary, MN, Marsha (Bill) Winter, Fargo; grandson, Jeffrey Oliver, Fargo; great-granddaughter, Alexie Escarcega, Anoka, MN, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonney; brothers, Duane and Ronnie Harms; granddaughter, Lynsey Escarcega; son-in-law, Armand Mayoue; and brothers-in-law, Rick Nystad and Harlan Ekeberg.
