Beverly Groslie, 84, Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Beverly Johnson was born on August 15, 1930 in Ada, MN, to Russel and Viola Sholaas Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Twin Valley, graduating from Twin Valley High School. She moved to Fargo and went to work for Manchester Biscuit Company.
Beverly married Harvey Groslie on May 11, 1952 in Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, MN. They made their home in Fargo where Beverly was a homemaker.
In 1964, they moved to Bemidji, MN, where Harvey was a partner in the Groslie-Lowth Ford Dealership. They moved to Moorhead in 1971 and she went to work for American Linen Company, where she spent 25 years until retiring. She then went to work at Dakota Boys Ranch for over ten more years.
Beverly enjoyed baking and cooking, growing vegetables and flowers and spending time with her family. She was devoted to following and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Beverly is survived by her son Gary Patty Groslie, Moorhead, MN; daughter-in-law Dawn Groslie, Moorhead, MN; three grandchildren Gus McKenzie Groslie, Chelsie John Groslie Cheney, and Cy Groslie; four great-grandchildren Jace Groslie, Mak Groslie, Rowen Groslie and Holden Groslie Cheney; five siblings, Susan Chuck Keogh, Waubun, MN, Robert Johnson, Columbia Heights, MN, Delores Orin Erickson, Minneapolis, MN, Jim Judy Johnson, Australia, and Roland Kathy Johnson, Moorhead, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey, son Craig, and brother Duane.
Funeral: Saturday, June 20, 2015, 1:30 P.M., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN. Friends may gather for one hour before the funeral.
Interment: Twin Valley Memorial Gardens, Twin Valley, MN
