Beverly J. ’Bev’ Christianson

Beverly "Bev" Joan Christianson, 79, of Moorhead, MN passed joyfully into the Lord's arms on Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN. Bev was born to August and Mabel Johnson Becker on October 10, 1932 in Fargo, ND. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1950 and furthered her education in later years at MSU. She married Glenn Gordon Christianson on March 6, 1951 in Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead. They made their home in Moorhead where they raised their nine children. She did bookkeeping and payroll for Christianson Masonry. Bev was gifted with a beautiful voice to sing in her church and the FM Opera. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, traveling, time at the lake, painting and reading. Bev's faith was important to her and an example for her family. She was very active in her church. She gave loving care to elderly family members and friends. She is survived by her children, Teresa Stephen Paterson, Statesville, NC, Gary, Fargo, ND, Collette Dale Halmrast, Long Prairie, MN, Kimberley John Krein, North River, ND, Laurie, Moorhead, MN, Mark Jean, Moorhead, MN, Jack Lois Moorhead, MN, Jill Scott Severson, West Fargo, ND and Paul, Fargo, ND; one brother, Robert Becker, Moorhead, MN; 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, several cousins and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn 1998 and her parents, August and Mabel Becker.
