Beverly J. Hurner

Beverly Jane Mandsager Hurner, age 81, of Moorhead, MN, died on Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Essentia Health Fargo, ND.

Bev Mandsager was born on November 18, 1931, to Eli and Elsie Bonnet Mandsager in rural Felton, MN. She graduated from Moorhead High School and attended Interstate Business College.

On July 28, 1949, Bev married Erwin Hurner of rural Glyndon, MN. They moved to Moorhead and Bev was an instrumental part in establishing E.E. Hurner Trucking Company with Erwin. In 1979, they formed a family company, WEBB Enterprises Wendy, Erwin, Bev and Brad with their children. She retired in 1994.

Next to Erwin, her husband of 63 years, Bev’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She tried to never miss their activities; sports, school and church. She loved the outdoors, especially spring, when everything was coming to life. Up until the past few years, Bev and Erwin wintered in Arizona and spent their summers at their lake home.

She is survived by her husband, Erwin; a daughter, Wendy John Mather, a son, Brad Bonnie Hurner, granddaughters, Nichole Jerry Price, Rachel Hurner and Heather Hurner all of Moorhead, MN, a grandson, Chris Jessica Mather of Dilworth, MN, four great-grandchildren, Alex, Mia, Makenna Mather of Dilworth, MN and Elizabeth Price of Moorhead, MN and a sister-in-law, Linda Mandsager.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Mandsager. She will be forever missed.

Visitation: Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., in First United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND.

Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN.
