Beverly J. Nelson

Beverly J. NelsonBeverly Jean Nelson passed away on December 24, 2011, in Sanford Hospital, Fargo, surrounded by her loving family.Beverly was born on May 20, 1934 to Hazel David and Elmer Borsvold of Thompson, ND. She adopted the name Beverly Jean Horn after Hazel married William Horn.She worked for Warren's Café and then went on to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company after she graduated from Moorhead High School. On September 11, 1954, she married the love of her life, Bernie Nelson. They made their home in Moorhead and raised five children. She was devoted to and very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She liked to socialize, having coffee parties and birthday club. She was also very creative with her hands, crocheting, embroidering, ceramics and quilting.Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, sister Violet, and husband Bernel.She is survived by her three sons, Brien Kristi Nelson of Kindred, ND, Bradley Molly Nelson of Wright, WY, Blair Charleen Nelson of Baxter, MN; two daughters, Cindy Nelson of Moorhead, MN, and Denise John Jubile of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Karen Clane Hertz of Fargo, ND, Donna Robledo of Chicago, IL; brother Neal Julie Horn of Ramsey, MN; sisters-in-law Connie Skoog of Fargo, ND, Ardis Erickson of Pine Island, MN, Ileene Wally Fjelstad of Mesa, AZ; and brother-in-law Wesley Irene Nelson of Fargo, ND. She was an ambitious, energetic, fun-loving person who will be greatly missed by family and friends.Beverly's family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Eventide Lutheran Home of Moorhead for their loving care and support.
