Beverly J. Thoreson

Beverly J. Thoreson, 72 of Fargo, ND, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013, in Sanford Health’s Palliative Care Center, Fargo, ND. Beverly was born April 28, 1940 in Gary, MN, to Theodore and Hannah Vigum Skare. She grew up, and graduated High School in Gary, MN then continued her education at The Minnesota School of Business, Mpls, MN graduating in 1960. Beverly was married to Gene A. Thoreson on September 30, 1961 at Ness Lutheran Church, Gary, MN and together they made their home in Mpls, MN until 1970 when the family moved to Santa Ana, CA, then returned to Minnesota in 1974. Beverly held many different positions throughout her working career with the last being North American Research Group until June 2012.

In her later years Beverly enjoyed: reading, music, cross word puzzles, her dog “Oliver” and the most important being friends and time spent with family.

Beverly is survived by her son. Lance M.Thoreson of Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Amanda Helgeson, Ryan Halstad, Jamie Michael Lenhart, Brandon Wegenast, Dustin Miller, Casey Wegenast, Garrett Wegenast, Sydney Thoreson and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Lisa Miller and Tami Thoreson; parents, Theodore and Hannah Skare; sister, Delores Mabry; and niece, Betty Halland.

Funeral: Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 1:00 PM, Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Visitation: Thursday, March 28, from 12:00 -1:00 PM, Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.

The family of Beverly Thoreson would like to personally thank the Nurses and staff at Sanford’s Palliative Unit for the excellent care provided to Beverly during her stay. In the words of the family, “they made a difficult situation peaceful, and the attentive care offered was noticed and appreciated. Thank you, you are all wonderful and the manner in which you perform your profession is admirable”!!
