Bob E. Pickett

Bob Eugene Pickett was born on June 18, 1940 to Victor and Grace Adams Pickett. He grew up near Many Point Lake, MN where he attended school through 8th grade. Bob served in the United States Army as a mechanic in Germany. On October 29, 1963 he married G. Ann in Henrietta County. Together they had three children, Debra, Bob and John. Throughout the years Bob held odd jobs in Minnesota and North Dakota. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in land clearing for Johnson Construction from 1963 until 1985. He retired at age 65 and enjoyed his second career as a junk man. Bob lived in Park Rapids, MN until 2004, when he moved to Moorhead, MN to be closer to his children. He is survived by two sons, Bob Sherri Pickett, Glyndon, MN and John Lori Pickett, Fargo, ND; daughter, Deb Jeff Longtine, Moorhead, MN; four brothers, LaVerne Bobbie Pickett, Park Rapids, MN, Victor Jr. Kathy Pickett, Park Rapids, MN, Don Pickett, Park Rapids, MN and Larry Pickett, Princeton, MN; two sisters, Verlyn Carr, Rochert, MN and Virginia Olund, Frazee, MN; sister-in-law, Peggy Pickett, Jonesboro, GA; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, G. Ann; parents, Victor and Grace Pickett; two brothers, Gene and LeRoy Pickett; two brother-in-laws, Stanley Olund and Marvin Carr; and sister-in-law Susan Pickett.
