Brent B. Emmel, age 40, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, of natural causes in his home.Brent Boyd Emmel was born on January 19, 1970, in Duluth, MN and became the son of Karen and Bruce Emmel. Karen died in 1981 and he became the son of Bruce and Phyllis Emmel. He grew up and attended school in Fort Wayne, IN, Moorhead, and Parkers Prairie, graduating from Parkers Prairie High School in 1988. He obtained training in welding in Minneapolis and lived in Duluth before moving back to Fargo/Moorhead in 1998, where he has resided since.Brent enjoyed talking on the CB radio and tinkering with computers and model cars. He also enjoyed bowling on the Adaptive Bowling Team and being the New Horizons building representative for the Daily Bread as well as the New Horizons Building Association Secretary. He was a long time member of the Fargo Social Club at the Myrt Armstrong Center in Fargo, ND. Brent reached out to everyone, always lending a helping hand when needed. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Phyllis Emmel of Moorhead, MN; four brothers, Tony Mavis Huber of Bismarck, ND, Daniel Huber of China, Wayne Emmel of Minneapolis, MN and Joseph Olson of Thief River Falls, MN; three sisters, Brandi Emmel of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Kathi Keith Brown of Los Lunas, NM and Debra Eggert of Moorhead, MN; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as a close friend, Jim Illies.He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen, and one brother, Rodney Huber.
