Brittany Tran

Brittany Tran, 17, Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, in her home in Moorhead.Brittany Chou Tran was born on May 7, 1989, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Joseph P.K. Tran and Bonavy Chou. She grew up and attended school in Moorhead, MN. She was class president at Moorhead High and would have been a senior this fall. She was a member of Key Club, played baritone in the band and also studied piano. She was also a member of Dance Studio Elite in Fargo.Brittany is survived by her parents, Joseph and Bonavy, brother, Brady and sister, Jada, all at home in Moorhead, MN; grandmothers, Vuong Thi Nguyen, Moorhead, MN, and Phuong Sok, Seattle, WA; aunt & uncle, Vuthy Chou and Kevin Ryan; aunt & uncle Narin Chou and Thy Mam, aunt and uncle NamViet Thi Tran and Phuc Van Hoang, aunt and uncle Trinh Thi Tran and Dung Hung Le, aunt and uncle Christine and Trevor Roisum, uncle Chad Scheman; great aunt and uncles, Tat Nguyen, Phan Nguyen, and Khiem Nguyen; numerous cousins in the U.S. and Vietnam. She is also survived by family friend James Thoennes, St. Cloud, MN, paternal foster grandparents, Ken and Pat Scheman, Pelican Rapids, MN, and Karen Johnson, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Ruth Korteum. She was preceded in death by foster grandparents James Johnson and Red Korteum.
